The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bangalore has announced the exam dates for theDiploma – Common Entrance Test (Diploma-CET) 2012 which will be held in the month of August 2012. The KEA Diploma-CET 2012 will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
The KEA Diploma-CET 2012 is conducted for taking admission of Karnataka candidates to the second year or third semester of full time Engineering (B.E) courses and first year Architecture (B.Arch) courses under lateral entry scheme in government / university / private aided / private un-aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka for the commencing session 2012-13.
Eligibility Criteria for KEA Diploma-CET 2012:
- For B.E Courses: The candidate should have passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E).
- For B.Arch Course: The candidate should have passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E).

Application Procedure for KEA Diploma-CET 2012:
- The online application form can be obtained from their official website -www.kar.nic.in/kea/diploma.htm.
- The candidate should pay the application form through the uniquely generated bank challan at the designated SBM/SBH branches.

Paper Pattern for KEA Diploma-CET 2012:
- The exam will have 180 objective type questions for duration of three hours.
- Each answer carries one mark.
- The questions will be based on Applied Mathematics, Applied Science and other general engineering subjects.
